Este trabajo aporta datos sobre un locus ligado al cromosoma x, que hemos llamado male-female-sterile in regi\u00f3n 6e (mfs (1) 6e), cuya funcion se requiere para la producci\u00f3n de un fluidoseminal normal.Los machos mutantes para este locus producen espermatozoides m\u00f3viles que son transferidos a la hembra durante le apareamiento pero estos no se almacenan.  el an\u00e1lisis funcional del fluido seminal de los machos mutantes mfs(1)6e es dif\u00edcil porque, como regla general, no se tranfiere a las hembras. Este problema se solucion\u00f3 llevando a cabo un elevado n\u00famero de cruces para generar suficientes hembras que almacenaran los espermatozoides de los machos mutantes. Esta hembras necesariamente habr\u00edan recibido fluidoseminal puesto que el almacenamiento de los espermatozoides lo requiere. El fluido seminal del macho mutante parece ser defectivo para llevar a cabo los cambios en el comportamiento (disminuci\u00f3n de la receptividad a posteriores apareamientos) y fisiol\u00f3gicos (incremento en la puesta de huevos) que se observan en la hembra durante el primer d\u00eda despu\u00e9s del apareamiento.  las gl\u00e1ndulas accesorias del macho mutante muestran claras anormalidades, principalmente en lo que concierne a la secrecion glandular, adem\u00e1s de presentar diferencias cualitativas y cuantitativas en cuanto al contenido proteico. Demostramos que la movilidad de los espermatozoides en los \u00f3rganos de almacenamiento de la hembra no es suficiente para el mantenimiento de los cambios fisiol\u00f3gicos y del comportamiento
