Esther Garcia Palomero <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los canales de ca2+ dependientes de voltaje (ccdv) est\u00e1n formados por varias subunidades proteicas. Se han identificado diferentes subunidades que codifican para los subtipos de ccdv funcionales: l, n, p\/q, r y t. Estudios electrofisiol\u00f3gicos y farmacol\u00f3gicos han puesto de manifiesto la diversidad de subtipos de ccdv existentes en las c\u00e9lulas cromafines de la m\u00e9dula adrenal (l, n y p\/q), sin embargo, no existen datos moleculares que sustenten dicha diversidad, o si estos subtipos de ccdv est\u00e1n homog\u00e9neamente distribuidos en las c\u00e9lulas adren\u00e9rgicas y noradren\u00e9rgicas. En este trabajo, mediante cromafines bovinas, se han obtenido tres secuencias nucleot\u00eddicas que codifican, respectivamente, para los ccdv l, n y p\/q. Utilizando estas secuencias como sondas en experimentos de hibridaci\u00f3n in situ, realizados en secciones de gl\u00e1ndula adrenal bovina, hemos demostrado que el mrna de la subunidad se expresa por toda la m\u00e9dula. sin embargo, las subunidades se expresan m\u00e1s abundantemente en la regi\u00f3n interna de la m\u00e9dula, donde se localizan las c\u00e9lulas noradren\u00e9rgicas. Adem\u00e1s, utilizando la t\u00e9cnica de rt-pcr y oligonucle\u00f3tidos cebadores selectivos dise\u00f1ados para amplificar diferentes subunidaes y auxiliares de los ccdv, se han identificado m\u00faltiples subunidades en estas c\u00e9lulas, algunas de totalmente inesperadas. Estos resultados moleculares ampl\u00edan, la concepci\u00f3n actual sobre la diversidad de ccdv existente en estas c\u00e9lulas y sientan las bases para posteriores estudios biof\u00edsicos de los mismos.  adem\u00e1s, en este estudio, hemos investigado la posible especializaci\u00f3n de alg\u00fan subtipo de ccdv de las c\u00e9lulas cromafines en el control de funciones no relacionadas con la secreci\u00f3n.
