Y en las investigaciones de las variaciones epigen\u00e9ticas y gen\u00e9ticas potencialmente generadas por crioselecci\u00f3n.  adem\u00e1s de utilizar el procedimiento de crioconservaci\u00f3n basado en el tratamiento con criprotectores y disminuci\u00f3n lenta de temperatura, se ha conseguido crioconservar m\u00e1s eficientemente los callos de arroz por inmersi\u00f3n directa en el nitr\u00f3geno liquido. En ambos casos un tratamiento previo con \u00e1cido absicisio(aba) incrementa significativamente la eficiencia de crioconservaci\u00f3n. las lineas crioconservadas directamente en nitr\u00f3geno liquido muestran mayor resistencia a un posterior estr\u00e9s de congelaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como mayor competencia para la transformaci\u00f3n g\u00e9nica directa que sus correspondientes controles(no crioconservados). El an\u00e1lisis gen\u00e9tico realizado mediante marcadores rapd indica que las diferencias entre lineas parecen estar m\u00e1s realcionados con variaciones somaclonales que con un proceso crioselecci\u00f3n.  los resultados obtenidos indican que la presi\u00f3n de selecci\u00f3n por congelaci\u00f3n no afecta las caracter\u00edsticas fenot\u00edpicas analizadas en la progenie y que la crioconservaci\u00f3n por inmersi\u00f3n directa en nitr\u00f3geno liquido es un sistema r\u00e1pido y eficiente de mantener lineas celulares.
