Mar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La regulacion de genes por hormonas esteroideas y especifica de tejido implica en parte, receptores para hormonas que son necesarios, pero no suficientes para la expresion de un gen en particular. Los genes transcritos por la rna polimerasa ii son regulados por multiples proteinas que actuan en \u00abtrans\u00bb y que interaccionan con sus elementos reguladores en el dna. La transcripcion del gen de uteroglobina en utero es estimulada especificamente por progesterona. La uteroglobina tambien se sintetiza en pulmon, donde se regula por glucocorticoides, y en epididimo, donde se regula por testosterona. Los objetivos de esta tesis doctoral fueron delimitar las secuencias del gen de uteroglobina que determinan su expresion especifica en utero y caracterizar algun factor que se uniera a una de esas secuencias.
