Una de las principales \u00e1reas que se encarga de dicha personalizaci\u00f3n mediante la construcci\u00f3n de perfiles de usuario es el de filtrado de la informaci\u00f3n. mediante dicho proceso, se evita que la especializaci\u00f3n de consulta de usuario a un sistema de recuperaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n (p.Ej. Internet) se realice a trav\u00e9s de t\u00e9rminos. Tras una consulta general realizada al sistema a trav\u00e9s de t\u00e9rminos relacionados mediante operadores l\u00f3gicos, el usuario puede evaluar algunos de los documentos recuperados por el sistema, sin tener que volver a introducir t\u00e9rminos que concreten m\u00e1s sus preferencias.  en esta tesis se hace uso de dos de las m\u00e1s relevante t\u00e9cnicas de computaci\u00f3n flexible: la l\u00f3gica difusa y los algoritmos gen\u00e9ticos para la resoluci\u00f3n de este problema de los perfiles de usuario. Como alternativa y mejora a los modelos cl\u00e1sicos de recuperaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n, se presenta un modelo difuso en el que se proponen nuevos esquemas de representaci\u00f3n de los t\u00e9rminos en los documentos. As\u00ed mismo, se extienden las medidas cl\u00e1sicas de exhaustividad y precisi\u00f3n al caso difuso, con la aportaci\u00f3n del uso de cardinales para conjuntos difusos que permitan el c\u00e1lculo de la relevancia de los documentos de la colecci\u00f3n.  tanto los nuevos esquemas como las medidas de evaluaci\u00f3n del modelo difuso se utilizan en el modelo gen\u00e9tico, en el que mediante un algoritmo gen\u00e9tico, se resuelve el problema de construcci\u00f3n de perfiles de usuario.
