Ozilea Bezerra Menezes <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Dentro de los estudios de oceanografia fisica, el principal que gobierna el transporte, dispersion y mezcla de contaminantes es la turbulencia. para entender la dinamica de los contaminantes se requiere comprender los mecanismos de transporte y mezcla en el mar. Esta tesis analiza de forma experimental la difusi\u00f3n horizontal de trazadores (continuos y puntuales) en el oceano y especialmente en la zona costera,estudiando como intervienen parametros ambientales tales como el oleaje, el viento, las corrientes y las mareas en la difusi\u00f3n de los contaminantes.  las areas investigadas estan localizadas en el oceano atlantico (costa nordeste de brasil: ciudades de recife y olinda) y en el mar mediterraneo (costa espa\u00f1ola catalana: ciudad de vilanova i la geltru; costa francesa: golfo de lyon). Durante el periodo de 1995\/97 han sido realizados un total de 466 experimentos. La zona estudiada y medida comprende los primeros metros de la interfase agua\/aire en la superficie del mar llegando a una profundidad maxima de 1,5 m. Y una altura m\u00e1xima de 10 m en la capa limite atmosferica.  los trabajos consistieron basicamente en la filmacion mediante video del desplazamientos de flotadores o trazadores en un area de 20 x 20 m, que se encuentra delimitada mediante puntos de referencia.
