El principal objetivo del detector es la separaci\u00f3npor tiempo de vuelo de pares de la muestra de intr\u00e9s formada por parejas . Los estrictos requisitos que para ello debe cumplir, que incluyen una elevada resoluci\u00f3n temporal, inferior a 200 ps, y una capacidad de operaci\u00f3n a tasas de part\u00edculas de 2&#215;10 hz, hacen de \u00e9l un proyecto ambicioso.
