Datos que permiten establecer un modelo que relaciona el area foliar de un arbol y su diametro normal, la estimaci\u00f3n de los valores de masa se consigue al aplicar dicha relaci\u00f3n a los \u00e1rboles de una parcela.  en un segundo paso se establecen modelos de regresi\u00f3n entre el area foliar y diferentes parametros dendrometricos, asi como el estudio de la variabilidad de las distintas relaciones alometricas.  la estimaci\u00f3n indirecta del lai de la masa, utilizando el lai-2000 se efect\u00faa medianteuna estrategia estandar. Sistematicamente en un transeco se realizan multiples lecturas por parcela. Frente a esta estrategia se utiliza una estrategia no estandar y menos costosa de realizar. Se plantea una sola medida parcela, con una determinaci\u00f3n previa del protocolo a seguir respecto a la posici\u00f3n del sensor en cuanto a la distancia y orientaci\u00f3n del arbol m\u00e1s proximo. El metodo resulta tan efectivo y exacto como el anterior. Si bien, al igual que la estrategia estandar, reinfravaloran las estimaciones directas del lai en algunas de las fechas de estudio.  finalmente, se utilizan las medidas indirectas del lai en la estimaci\u00f3n de parametros dasom\u00e9tricos. Se consiguen modelos de regresi\u00f3n significativos, aunque no son estables en el tiempo.
