Se ha determinado la actividad del complejo celulot\u00edco empleado (procedente de un mutante hiperproductor de trichoderma reesei cl-847), as\u00ed como la influencia de la temperatura, el ph y la concentraci\u00f3n de enzima y etanol sobre la hidr\u00f3lisis enzim\u00e1tica. Se ha seleccionado (de un total de 28 cepas de levaduras) una cepa termotolerante, kluveromyces marxianus l.G. (Procedente de la unviersidad de languedoc, francia) y se ha sometido a un proceso de mejora mediante diferentes agentes mutag\u00e9nicos (temperatura,luz ultravioleta y etilmetanosulfonato), obteni\u00e9ndose una nueva cepa k. Marxianus ems-26 que mejora, con respecto al original, en un 6% el rendimiento en etano obtenido en el proceso a 42\u00c2\u00bac de sacarificaci\u00f3n y fermentaci\u00f3n simult\u00e1neas (sfs). Por \u00faltimo, se ha aplicado el proceso de obtenci\u00f3n de etanol mediante la tecnolog\u00eda de sfs desarrollada, utilizando como materia prima cuatro biomasas lignocelul\u00f3sicas (madera de chopo y eucalipto, paja de trigo y bagazo de sorgo). Las biomasas fueron pretratadas mediante un sistema hidirt\u00e9rmico de explosi\u00f3n  con vapor y sometidas al proceso acoplado de hidr\u00f3lisis y fermentaci\u00f3n con la nueva cepa k. Marxianus ems-26 utilizando diferentes concentraciones de sustrato (10 y 14%) y cargas de enzima (15 y 30 upf\/g sustrato). En las condiciones de 10% de concentraci\u00f3n de sustrato y 15 fpu\/g sustrato de carga de enzima, a partir de 1000 kg de biomasa lignocelul\u00f3sica (con un contenido en celulosa del 45%) pueden
