El objetivo fundamental de la tesis es obtener expresiones sencillas que reflejan el comportamiento est\u00e1tico y din\u00e1mico de los convertidores en regimen caotico. Estas expresiones sirven de punto de partida para el dise\u00f1o de un convertidor y de su control.  el analisis est\u00e1tico de los convertidores se realiza aprovechando el car\u00e1cter erg\u00f3dico del proceso ca\u00f3tico, lo que permite reemplazar las medias temporales por medias estadisticas. Este enfoque permite tambien obtener la densidad espectral de potencia de la corriente en regimen caotico y compararla con los resultados correspondientes al regimen periodico.  el analisis dinamico de los convertidores ca\u00f3ticos puede abordarse, como se muestra en la tesis, mediante promediado y linealizacion en torno  a un punto de equilibrio, de manera an\u00e1loga al caso de convertidores en regimen periodico. Esto permite obtener funciones de transferencia que describen la evoluci\u00f3n temporal de las variables de interes. La tesis presenta, adem\u00e1s, una formulaci\u00f3n adimensional que simplifica el estudio y el dise\u00f1o de reguladores en lazo cerrado.  en la tesis se propone una modificaci\u00f3n a la tecnica de control ogy para sincronizar el convertidor real con un modelo de referencia simplificado.  aunque el analisis detallado y los resultados experimentales se realizan sobre un convertidor de tipo
