Los aspectos taxonomicos que definen y delimitan esta familia han variado a lo largo del tiempo. Para obtener las relaciones filogen\u00e9ticas dentro de esta familia y con respecto a familias cercanas, se determin\u00f3 la secuencia completa de la region de adn ribosomico, que incluye los espaciadores transcritos internos (its) y el gen arnr 5.8s, de 53 aislados de esta familia y 2 de la familia xylariaceae. Las secuencias se alinearon y procesaron, y se compararon con la informaci\u00f3n taxonom\u00f3mica disponible. El an\u00e1lisis molecular establece la existencia de 9 grupos monofil\u00e9ticos y una cepa aparte (eutypella quaternata) dentro de la familia diatrypaceae. Esta distribucion no encaja perfectamente con la taxonom\u00eda clasica basada en la observaci\u00f3n de caracteres morfologicos. De los cinco generos incluidos en el estudio, s\u00f3lo cuatro de ellos se pudieron correlacionar con uno o m\u00e1s grupos monofileticos, de acuerdo a lo observado por algunos autores, mientras que para el g\u00e9nero diatrypella no se obtuvo esta correlaci\u00f3n. Para estudiar con m\u00e1s detalle la variabilidad encontrada en alguno de los grupos se realiz\u00f3 un estudio con tecnicas de huella genetica (ap-pcr y mp-pcr). Adem\u00e1s se discute la posici\u00f3n e influencia de las secuencias repetidas en tandem (str) encontradas en la region its1 dentro de la familia diatrypaceae.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
