Estas fuentes presentan importantes rasgos innovadores denro del panorama hagiogr\u00e1fico: la aparici\u00f3n  de obras en lengua vulgar en especial el corpus de gonzalo de berceo, con una marcado car\u00e1cter catequ\u00e9tico; las vitae dedicadas a los funadores de las recientes \u00f3rdenes mendicantes, representates de un nuevo modelo de santidad que abandona los muros del claustro e invita a los fieles de imitarlos; las obras dedicadas a quellos santos rescatados del pasado glorioso, la \u00e9poca hispano-goda, cuyas praesentia a trav\u00e9s de sus reliquias refuerza una identidad com\u00fan en una hispania.  y por \u00faltimo, aquellos relatos que son elementos clave de propaganda impulsada por centros mon\u00e1sticos endecadencia como, san mill\u00e1n de la cogolla o santo domingo de silos. Todo estos rasgos ponen en evidencia el car\u00e1cter din\u00e1mico de este g\u00e9nero literario, que al mismo tiempo y mediante sus protagonistas, los santos, recoge las aspiraciones y las
