Pitx2 presenta un patr\u00f3n pleiotr\u00f3pico de expresi\u00f3n que est\u00e1 muy conservado en ambos modelos embrionarios. Pitx2 se expresa de manera asim\u00e9trica en el mesoderno lateral. Esta expresi\u00f3n asim\u00e9trica permance durante el desarrollo posterior y se contin\u00faa en los derivados del mesodermo lateral. se analiza asimismo, el patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3npitx2 durante el desarrollo card\u00edaco. El estudio funcional comienza con el an\u00e1lisis de los mutantes murinos iv\/iv que cursan con alteraciones de la lateralidad. Se demuestra que las alteraciones de la expresi\u00f3n de pitx2 en estos mutantes se correlacionan con las alteraciones de la lateralidad. Se realizan experimentos de expresi\u00f3n ect\u00f3pica de elementos que interviene en la cascada g\u00e9nica que controla la lateralidad, con la aplicaci\u00f3n ect\u00f3pica de activina, sonic hedgehog y nodal. Los resultados demuestran que:  1- pitx2 est\u00e1 regulado por estos factores  2- pitx2 pertnece a la v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n izquierda-derecha  3- pitx2 interviene enla fase m\u00e1s tard\u00eda de dicha se\u00f1aizaci\u00f3n, subrogado a nodal.  finalmente, se analiza mediante experimentos de hibridaci\u00f3n insitu y de rt-pcr la posible expresi\u00f3n diferencial de las distintas isoformas de pitx2; se concluye que la expresi\u00f3n asim\u00e9rica izquierda es debida exclusivamente a la isoforma c. El trabajo demuestra que pitx2 participa enla fase tarad\u00eda de la v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n que controla la asimetr\u00eda corporal izquierda-derecha.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
