Se analizan sus componentes, sus problemas, su capacidad fisica, su politica y su gestion, con un enfoque especial hacia el sistema ferroviario.  paralelamente, y en base a las inversiones efectuadas y al rapido desarrollo que se observa en la region, principalmente en el sector de la agroindustria, se estima la demanda futura de las cargas ferroviarias a transportar en dicha region, hasta el a\u00f1o 2010.  mediante un analisis de las tendencias en planificacion y organizacion del transporte de mercancias por ferrocarril usadas en europa, se hace una propuesta de cambios en el sistema ferroviario nordestino para atender, racionalmente, las necesidades de la demanda de transporte del sector agroindustrial en la region nordeste.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
