La utilizaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9todos electroqu\u00edmicos se justifica teniendo en cuenta que los m\u00e9todos cl\u00e1sicos de estudio de la corrosi\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica requieren tiempos de exposicion bastante extensos y que, en principio, el mecanismo del proceso de corrosi\u00f3n es precisamente un mecanismo electroqu\u00edmico.  las t\u00e9cnicas aplicadas en este estudio son; adem\u00e1s de la microscop\u00eda metalogr\u00e1fica y la difracci\u00f3n de rayos x:  * en corriente continua  &#8211; voltam\u00e9tr\u00eda c\u00edclica  &#8211; polarizaci\u00f3n lineal  * en corriente alterna  &#8211; espectroscop\u00eda de impedancia electroqu\u00edmica  inicialmente se hace una introducci\u00f3n a la corrosi\u00f3n met\u00e1lica y a la corrosi\u00f3n del cobre, junto con una caracterizaci\u00f3n metalogr\u00e1fica de este metal, incluyendo los antecedentes bibliogr\u00e1ficos sobre el tema. Posteriormente se introducen teoricamente cada una de las t\u00e9cnicas utilizadas y los equipos y materiales empleados. Se especifican las condiciones de trabajo y la preparaci\u00f3n de los electrodos para cada caso.  a cada t\u00e9cnica electroqu\u00edmica se le ha dedicado un cap\u00edtulo de la presente tesis, y se han expuesto las condiciones experimentales, los resultados obtendios y la interpretaci\u00f3n de dichos resultados. Con todos los m\u00e9todos electroqu\u00edmicos se ha estudiado la influencia de los contaminantes m\u00e1s comunes: los cloruros y los sulfatos, tanto por separado como conjuntamente, a varias concentraciones y ph.  a partir de la espectroscop\u00eda de impedancia electroqu\u00edmica, se ha llevado a cabo la simulaci\u00f3n con dos circuitos electroqu\u00edmios equivalentes, compar\u00e1ndose tanto la precisi\u00f3n del ajsute como la interpretaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica de los par\u00e1metros.  del an\u00e1lisis de los productos de corrosi\u00f3n sobre las placas de cobre,
