La metodolog\u00eda de s\u00edntesis utilizada ha sido de tipo sol-gel, en la que especies org\u00e1nicas tensoactivas han actuado como agentes estructurantes del esqueleto in\u00f3rganico. Los materiales mesoporosos, obtenidos despu\u00e9s de la eliminaci\u00f3n de las especies org\u00e1nicas mediante calcinaci\u00edn, se han empleado como soportes de metales de transici\u00f3n tales como rh, pd,pt y ni, y de \u00f3xido de cromo. los catalizadores resultantes se han caracterizado mediante an\u00e1lisis quimico, difracci\u00f3n de rayos x, espectroscop\u00eda fotoelectr\u00f3nica de rayos x, espectroscopia electr\u00f3nica uv-visible, microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica(sem,tem,afm), adsorci\u00f3n-desorci\u00f3n de nitr\u00f3geno a 77 k, reduci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica programada de hidr\u00f3geno, desorci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica programada de amoniaco, adsorci\u00f3n de piridina acoplada a espectroscop\u00eda ir; as\u00ed como la naturaleza de las part\u00edculas met\u00e1licas evaluada mediante reducci\u00f3n termogravim\u00e9trica y quimisorci\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3geno.  los catalizadores de metales soportados sobre sizrmcm se han ensayado en la reacci\u00f3n de hidrogenaci\u00f3n y apertura de tetrahidronaftaleno. Estos sistemas catal\u00edticos presentan una alta actividad en las reacciones de hidrogenaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como en los procesos de craqueo. Todos los catalizadores se desactivan cuando se introduce tambi\u00e9n dibenzotiofeno(dbt) en el flujo de alimentaci\u00f3n, siendo este proceso irreversible para los catalizadores de ni. Sin embargo, los catalizadores con 2% de rh y 2% pdpt recuperan casi totalmente su actividad inicial despu\u00e9s de eliminar de la alimentaci\u00f3n el dbt.  se ha evualuado tambi\u00e9n el
