El trabajo realizado ha consistido en el dise\u00f1o y construccion de un equipo experimental, la determinacion del procedimiento de medida mediante tratamiento de imagenes y la realizacion de diversos experimentos. El equipo dise\u00f1ado puede rotar independientemente ambos cilindros, y dispone de control de velocidad por ordenador con error menor del 1% y control electronico de temperatura con error menor de 0,1 grado c. Para el tratamiento de las imagenes se ha desarrollado el software necesario para corregir los defectos debidos a la geometria cilindrica del sistema y los reflejos no deseados.  con este equipo se ha estudiado el proceso de relajacion de vortex de taylor obtenidos en experimentos no cuasi-estaticos determinandose la dependencia del numero de onda con la coordenada axial. Se han efectuado medidas de la pendiente y el numero de onda en el flujo espiral observandose el comportamiento caotico descrito por otros autores. Se ha caracterizado la dependencia de la amplitud de la oscilacion con los numeros de onda en el wavy vortex flow. Finalmente se ha estudiado el proceso de transporte axial en la primera inestabilidad y se han determinado los coeficientes de difusion efectivos para diversos valores de los numeros de
