La expresi\u00f3n de estos genes se reprime por glucosa, metabolito producido en las fermentaciones industriales. Conocer el mecanismo por el que se realiza este efecto represor es basico tanto para conseguir evitarlo, como para entender el proceso por el que los organismos desarrollan una respuesta determinada ante una nueva condici\u00f3n ambiental. en este contexto se ha desarrollado el trabajo que se presenta, en el se ha estudiado la actividad promotora de dos genes amiolol\u00edticos, swa1 y swa2, de la levadura schwanniomyces occideentalis en saccharomyces cerevisiae. se ha evaluado el efecto que sobre el gen swa2 ejercen distintas fuentes de carbono, localizado las regiones implicadas en su regulaci\u00f3n y analizado algunos de los factores que pueden implicados en ella. Parte de los resultados obtenidos por la licenciada se han incluido en un art\u00edculo ya publicado (biochem j(1998) 329,65-71) y en otro que se encuentra en tr\u00e1mites para su publicacioni , y
