Entre otras, estas ventajas son las de peque\u00f1o tama\u00f1o, inmunidad  a interferencias electromagneticas, biocompatibilidad y capacidad de multiplexacion. Por otro lado hoy en d\u00eda se dispone de fibras opticas estandar que se estan cableando a lo largo y ancho de toda la geografia mundial para poder ser utilizadas en la red de comunicaciones de datos: telefonia, television por cable,internet n\u00c2\u00ba, otros servicios. El objetivo de este trabajo es desarrollar nuevos sensores que sean compatibles con estas redes de fibra optica. En concreto, este estudio dispone de tres grandes bloques, el primero estudia las caracteristicas de la fibra optica monomodo estrechada para fabricar sensores basados en el doblado de la misma. El segundo bloque estudia sensoes de campo           basados en fibra optica estrechada.
