Se caracterizan por poseer un marcado polimorfismo estructural, sobresaliendo la formacion de estructuras tricatenarias.  esta tesis ha consistido en el analisis estructural del dna de cadena sencilla de secuencia homopurinica repetitiva de tipo d(gxa)n. Se ha llevado a cabo la caracterizacion de 4 tipos de estructuras adoptadas por diferentes secuencias homopurinicas. Se ha encontrado que las secuencias d(ga)n, d(gga)n y d(ggga)n pueden formar duplexes intramoleculares antiparalelos en un amplio rango de condiciones experimentales que incluyen las fisiologicas. El tipo de apareamiento que mantiene estable los tres tipos de duplexes es diferente. Mientras que en el duplex d(ga.Ga)n se forman apareamientos g.A, en el d(gga.Gga)n se forman tambien apareamientos g.A junto con apareamientos g.G. Por ultimo, el duplex d(ggga.Ggga)n se mantiene estable mediante la formacion de apareamientos g.G y a.A.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Analisis
