Los aceleradores de particulas se utilizan principalmente en fisica de altas energias, para colisionar particulas, y como fuentes de luz sincrotron. En ambos casos, las estructuras magneticas utilizadas actualmente estan alcanzando sus limites practicos. En la tesis se presentan soluciones para estos problemas. La tesis esta dividida en tres partes: 1.  introduccion general a la fisica de los aceleradores de particulas. 2. Estudio de un nuevo tipo de estructura magnetica fuentes de luz sincrotron, basado en el uso de imanes de funciones combinadas: condicion de estabilidad, sensibilidad a errores, sistemas de correccion y dise\u00f1o de secciones de insercion. 3. Dise\u00f1o de una factoria de particulas tau y encantadas (tau-charm factory). La maquina esta formada por dos anillos de almacenamiento con un punto de interseccion donde colisionan electrones y positrones, en un rando de energias en el centro de masas de la colision entre 4 y 5 gev, con una luminosidad de 1033 cm2s 1.
