A partir del estudio de la mecanica analogica, se llega a desguazar de un modo bastante preciso el origen y el proceso de gestacion de la metafora, al tiempo que se detecta el caracter esteril y anacronico de la misma en el contexto del arte moderno. Despues de esta investigacion de caracter teorico, se aborda el estudio de la obra de algunos escritores, pintores y arquitectos modernos a la busqueda de procedimientos imaginativos que superen la banalidad de la metafora al tiempo que propongan modos de creatividad que garanticen un cierto control del autor sobre dichos modos y procedimientos.  asi, la tesis propone fijar un punto de vista
