Estos nucleos han sido estudiados a traves de la desintegracion b del 229fr y 231 fr. El principal objetivo del trabajo ha sido verficar si, a pesar de las predicciones de los modelos teoricos, existen correlaciones octupolares significativas en estos nucleos.  el conocimiento de la estructura del 229ra se ha enriquecido con 25 nuevos estados y varias transiciones intensas. Para el 231 ra se ha construido el esquema de niveles por primera vez. Los valores del spin y la paridad de los niveles se han deducido a partir de la medida de electrones de conversion, que permite determinar la multipolaridad de las transiciones. Por vez primera se han medido vidas medias de estados excitados de estos nucleos con valores entre decenas de ps y decenas de ns, mediante el metodo de coincidencias diferidas advanced time delayed byy(t).  las probabilidades de transici\u00f3n reducidas, y especialmente las b(e1)s que conectan las bandas k=5\/2+- y 1\/2+- en ambos nucleos, revelan la presencia de correlaciones octupolares, mas intensas en el 229 ra y mas debiles, pero todavia presentes, en el 231 ra.
