El estudio difractom\u00e9trico de indica un metamorfismo de tipo anquizonal (facies prehnita-pumpellita), con condiciones estimadas para el pico metam\u00f3fico de t=350\u00c2\u00bac y p=3.5 kb.  la mineralog\u00eda y geoqu\u00edmica de las rocas volc\u00e1ncias \u00e1cidas sugiere una considerble alteraci\u00f3n regional y una generalizada recristalizaci\u00f3n durante el metamorfismo regional herc\u00ednico. Adem\u00e1s, las rocas volc\u00e1ncias situadas a muro de los sulfuros masivos est\u00e1n afectadas por una intensa alteraci\u00f3n hidrotermal que ha obliterado la mineralog\u00eda y texturas. Esta alteraci\u00f3n ha provocado una importante movilidad geoqu\u00edmica, con ganancia de fe, mg, vol\u00e1tiles, s y metales (cu, xn), y p\u00e9ridad de na, k y s\u00edlice. Tan s\u00f3lo algunos elementos de alto potencial i\u00f3nico (al,ti, zr, nb, y, lree) habr\u00edan permanecido inm\u00f3viles durante el intercambio metasom\u00e1tico.  las mineralizaciones est\u00e1n constituidas por pirita, esfalerita, galena y calcopirita, adem\u00e1s de otros sulfuros y sulfosales minoritarios, y de silicatos, carbonatos y sulfatos acompa\u00f1antes como cemento. Presentan una clara zonaci\u00f3n mineral\u00f3gica, con zonas basales de stockwork y de sulfuros muy ricos en pirita y calcopirita, y zonas m\u00e1s distales con predominio de facies bandeadas polimet\u00e1licas de esfalcrita-galcna. La deformaci\u00f3n herc\u00ednica ha afectado muy intensamente a estas mcnas, desarrollando numerosas texturas de deformaci\u00f3n fr\u00e1gil (brechoides. Catacl\u00e1sticas y de recristalizaci\u00f3n) en pirita, y d\u00factil en los dem\u00e1s sulfuros.
