Nuestro estudio demuestra que durante el proceso de apoptosis se activan las caspasas -9,-3 y -8. Adem\u00e1s hemos demostrado que aspirina induce la liberaci\u00f3n de citocromo c de la mitocondria al citosol. la liberaci\u00f3n de citocromo c precede a la activaci\u00f3n de las caspasas y, por lo tanto, desencadena su activaci\u00f3n. El hecho que la liberaci\u00f3n de citocromo c por aspirina tenga lugar en diversos tipos celulares y que haya muy buena correlaci\u00f3n entre la inducci\u00f3n de liberaci\u00f3n de citocromo c y la inducci\u00f3n de apoptosis por aspirina tenga lugar en diversos tipos celulares y que haya muy buena correlaci\u00f3n entre la inducci\u00f3n de liberaci\u00f3n de citocromo c y la inducci\u00f3n de apoptosis por aspirina, permite situar este hecho en la v\u00eda principal del mecasnismo de inducci\u00f3n de apoptosis por aspirina.  en una segunda etapa, existir\u00eda un efecto dependiente de caspasas sobre la mitocondria, que podr\u00eda corresponder a un loop de amplificaci\u00f3n mitocondrial mediado por caspasas. En este loop de amplificaci\u00f3n dependiente de caspasas puede estar implicado la proteolisis de bid i la p\u00e9rdida de aym.  el mecanismo que desencadena la liberaci\u00f3n de citocromo c no se conoce. en nuestro modelo hemos descartado la inducci\u00f3n de pt mitocondrial y el efecto directo sobre las mitocondrias. El estudio de la posible implicaci\u00f3n de los miembros de la familia de bcl-2 revela que no participan cambios en los niveles de bcl-2 ni bcl-xl. El hecho que los niveles de la prote\u00edna antiapopt\u00f3tica mcl-1 disminuyan hace pensar que probablemente est\u00e9 implicada i probablemente otros miembros proapopt\u00f3ticos del tipo bh-3 only. La v\u00eda de transducci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales que desencadena la liberaci\u00f3n de citocrom c tampoco se conoce.
