Sin embargo, el papel del no en el control de la apoptosis a\u00fan no est\u00e1 claro; se han descrito varios mecanismos por los que altas concentraciones de no la inducen y bjas concentraciones la previene.  en la primera parte de esta tesis mostramos que altas concentraciones d eno inducen la muerte celular por apoptosis en las c\u00e9lulas productoras de insulina rinm5f. Nuestros resultados indican que altas concentraciones de no inducen la activaci\u00f3n de acciones proapopt\u00f3ticas como la gragmentaci\u00f3n de adn, la actiavaci\u00f3n de la caspasa 3, la liberaci\u00f3n de citocromo c y la degradaci\u00f3n de bcl-2; as\u00ed como la activaci\u00f3n de acciones antiapopt\u00f3ticas por ejemplo, la activaci\u00f3n de la pkg. Debido a su mayor intensidad las acciones proapopt\u00f3ticas predominan sobre las acciones antiapopt\u00f3ticas.  las acciones proapopt\u00f3ticas son independientes del sistema de se\u00f1alizaci\u00c2\u00bfon sgc\/pkg, a\u00fan m\u00e1s nuestros resultados muestran que los \u00edndices apopt\u00edcos aumentan de magnitud cuando en condiciones de apoptosis se inhibe la actividad de la pkg con el kt-5823, indicando que el no acitiva a la pkg como parte de una respuesta antiapopt\u00f3tica.  en estudios comparativos realizados tanto in vivio como in vitro utilizando dadores de no y el atractil\u00f3sido enontramos que la regulaci\u00f3n de la liberaci\u00f3n de citocrmo c por las mitoconr\u00edas es un elemento cr\u00edtico en la apoptosis inducida por el no y que dicha acci\u00f3n est\u00e1 relacionada con mecanismos dependientes de la apertura del poro de membrana responsable de la permeabilidad transitoria pt de la mitocondr\u00eda.  en la segunda parte de esta tesis mostramos que la retirada de suero del medio de cultivo induce la muerte celular por apoptosis en c\u00e9lulas productoras de insulina rinm5f.
