El an\u00e1lisis funcional de este gen demostr\u00f3 la ausencia de expresi\u00f3n en la practica totalidad de los linfomas analizados, aunque una peque\u00f1a fracci\u00f3n de los mismos tenian sobre-expresada una variante (deltan) de efecto posiblemente anti-apopt\u00f3tico.  pten y cd95\/fas podr\u00edan ser los genes candidatos de la regi\u00f3n tlsr8 al aparecer inactivados en una fracci\u00f3n muy significativa de los tumores.  la perdida simult\u00e1nea de expresi\u00f3n de los genes cd95\/fas, pten y del proto-oncogen jak2, situado entre los mismos, en m\u00e1s del 70% de los tumores, sugiere la existencia de un mecanismo de control regional de tipo epigen\u00e9tico en el cromosoma 19 de raton.  la activaci\u00f3n de c-myc parece constituir el est\u00edmulo oncog\u00e9nico m\u00e1s importante en este tipo de linfomas, se manifiesta por la sobre-expresi\u00f3n de su proteina, y sucede mediante un mecanismo de amplificaci\u00f3n de dosis g\u00e9nica.  el an\u00e1lisis global de los resultados sugiere un modelo donde el estimulo oncog\u00e9nico de c-myc es canalizado hacia proliferaci\u00f3n celular al abortarse todas las rutas apopt\u00f3ticas
