La binuclearidad del sistema soportado se determina por comparacion espectroscopica con los complejos solubles estructuralmente equivalentes (rh2(\/1ch2 ch2 n+nme2)2ll\u00c2\u00bf]{p-me(c6h4)so3}2, donde l=l\u00c2\u00bf=1\/2(cod); l=l\u00c2\u00bf=co q l=co y l\u00c2\u00bf=pph3.  todos los catalizadores descritos son activos en la hidroformilacion del estireno a 7 bar y 80\u00c2\u00ba c,donde los complejos inmobilizados se reutilizaban hasta 9 veces sin cambios en su regioselectividad. Tambien se realiza un estudio comparativo entre los precursores [rh2(m-cm2 dm2 nm2)2(co2)(ph3)2] y rhh(co)2(pph3)2]. Los resultados obtenidos, junto a datos de la bibliografia indican como en ambos casos la catalisis se debe exclusivamente a especies classicas rodio hidruro monoclueares (rh h(co)n (pph3)4-n](n=0-3)
