El proyecto contemplaba el dise\u00f1o de sistemas integrados planta\/microorganismo para la descontaminaci\u00f3n de pcbs, pahs y tce. A este respecto, se evalu\u00f3 el posible uso de las estirpes pseudomonas fluorescens f113 y sinorhizobium meliloti efb1 para rizorremediaci\u00f3n en la rizosfera de medicago sativa (alfalfa). P.Fluorescens f113 est\u00e1 caracterizada por ejercer funciones de biocontrol sobre la rizosfera de la remolacha. Sinorhizobium meliloti es el microsimbionte natural de la ra\u00edz de la alfalfa. Se estudi\u00f3 la colonizaci\u00f3n de la rizosfera de alfalfa por ambos microorganismos as\u00ed como los efectos que \u00e9sta pudiera tener sobre la planta. Por otro lado, se investi\u00f3 la posibilidad de aplicar los mecanismos inductores de la nodulaci\u00f3n de s.Meliloti para controlar los genes de biorremediaci\u00f3n, en concreto, el oper\u00f3n bph de degradaci\u00f3n de pcbs.  en cuanto a la colonizaci\u00f3n de la rizosfera de alfalfa, los resultados obtenidos indicaron claramente que ambas estirpes son buenas colonizadoras de la rizosfera de alfalfa, y por ello, potencialmente \u00fatiles para su empleo en biorremdiaci\u00f3n. En lo referente al estudio de los promotores nod de sinorhizobium meliloti, se dise\u00f1aron construcciones nodd1-nodbox y se analiz\u00f3 su funcionalidad en ambas estirpes, utilizando el gen testigo lacz para cuantificar la expresi\u00f3n y el gen gfp (de la prote\u00edna verde fluorescente) para analizar su expresi\u00f3n en rizosfera. Se seleccionaron las construcciones de mayor actividad para cada estirpe y se fusionaron al oper\u00f3n de los genes bhp. Se analiz\u00f3 la actividad de dichas construcciones en ambas estirpes y se seleccion\u00f3 la cepa f113l:1180 de pseudomonas fluorescens, como prototipo para biorremediaci\u00f3n ya que es una
