Las dos motivaciones espec\u00edficas m\u00e1s importantes del trabajo realizado en la tesis son:  1,- el estudio del efecto de conexiones asociativas de larga distancia entre redes de neuronas que funcionan como redes de memoria auto-asociativa (o de atractores).  2,- la estructura de los circuitos (locales) corticales responsables de la generaci\u00f3n de la actividad persistente asociada a los procesos de memoria de trabajo (working memory).  en este sentido se ha desarrollado un formalismo te\u00f3rico en que la frecuencia media de disparo de las neuronas y el coeficiente de variaci\u00f3n del intervalo entre disparos se tratan de forma autoconsistente.  se ha propuesto tambi\u00e9n una arquitectura en terminos de micro-columnas en la red reproduce la estad\u00edstica de los trenes de espigas observados en la corteza.  usando este modelo y otros m\u00e1s sencillos se ha estudiado la interacci\u00f3n entre las cortezas inferotemporal y pregrontal en tareas de memoria de trabajo referidas a objetos, consiguiendose resultados que se aproximan de forma cualitativa a los obtenidos experimentalmente.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
