Dominguez Carmona <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El objetivo de esta memoria estaba encaminado a ahondar en el estudio del fallo del cuajado de frutos de tomate en invierno, debido fundamentalmente a problemas relacionados con la formaci\u00f3n y germinaci\u00f3n del polen.  se estudiaron las especies tolerantes al fr\u00edo l. Pennellii y l. Hursutum. en primer lugar, la puesta a punto de los medios de germinaci\u00f3n del polen indic\u00f3 la necesidad de emplear un medio distinto para cada especie silvestre del g\u00e9nero lycopersicon. En segundo lugar, se observ\u00f3 un efecto paliativo de las bajas temperaturas nocturnas sobre la fertilidad del polen de tomate debido al cultivo de las plantas en macetas de peque\u00f1o tama\u00f1o.  por otro lado, la herencia del car\u00e1cter de tolerancia al fr\u00edo result\u00f3 dominante dentro la especie l. Pennelli pero no se pudo estudiar en l. Hirsutum por falta de entradas sensibles. Esta \u00faltima especie mostr\u00f3 un elevado numero de anomalias en el cruce con l.Esculentum que desaconsejaron su empleo. finalmente, se inici\u00f3 un programa de mejora aplicando el estr\u00e9s de selecci\u00f3n a la fase gametofitica en vez de a la planta adulta.
