Presentamos una rese\u00f1a hist\u00f3rica de usos de textiles en la arquitectura, de la prehistoria hasta hoy. Realizamos una b\u00fasqueda bilbiogr\u00e1fica y presentamos los resultados encontrados. Presentamos la metodolog\u00eda actual de an\u00e1lisis ac\u00fastico que se utiliza en ensayos de laboratorio, simulaciones y mediciones. Estudiamos la absorci\u00f3n sonora de los materiales de las cubiertas textiles, en ensayos de laboratorio, y comparamos con los resutlados te\u00f3ricos de ecuaciones encontradas en la bibliograf\u00eda. Realizamos mediciones ac\u00fasticas en cinco espacios  cubiertos con textiles: palenque, ambiente-92 y apeadero del ave, de la expo-92, piscina cubierta del polideportivo san pablo, todos en sevilla, espa\u00f1a y del auditorio araujo vianna, en porto alegre, brasil. Presentamos los valores encontrados de tiempo de reverberaci\u00f3n inteligibilidad de la palabra, distribuci\u00f3n sonora, ruido de fondo y coeficientes de absorci\u00f3n calculados a partir del tiempo de reverberaci\u00f3n, en gr\u00e1ficos y tablas, en tercios de octavas y octavas, en las frecuencias de 125 a 4.000 hz. Finalmente concluimos con el establecimiento de un comportamiento ac\u00fastico t\u00edpico de los espacios cubiertos con textiles. Presentamos tambi\u00e9n la correcion ac\u00fastica del auditorio araujo vianna.
