Las principales aportaciones realizadas se organizan en tres puntos.  se ha desarrollado un algoritmo eficiente para la extracci\u00f3n de reglas asociativas de bajo soporte. Esta aportaci\u00f3n permite aplicar esta t\u00e9cnica de miner\u00eda a ciertos conjuntos de datos complejos, los cuales eran intratables en t\u00e9rminos pr\u00e1cticos hasta ahora.  por otro lado, se ha propuesto un m\u00e9todo para evaluar la significaci\u00f3n estad\u00edstica de semejanzas en estructuras tridimensionales de prote\u00ednas tras la aplicaci\u00f3n de algoritmos de b\u00fasqueda por comparaci\u00f3n, que permitir\u00e1 realizar b\u00fasquedas intensivas y autom\u00e1ticas de patrones localizando o identificando los parecidos estructurales relevantes.  se ha dise\u00f1ado un modelo de descripci\u00f3n del contenido de v\u00eddeo cient\u00edfico que permite el acceso y an\u00e1lisis de esta informaci\u00f3n. Con esta aportaci\u00f3n se ofrece la oportunidad de aplicar t\u00e9cnicas de miner\u00eda a unos datos que han sido ignorados hasta ahora debido a su car\u00e1cter no estructurado.  estos desarrollos se han aplicado a conjuntos de datos biol\u00f3gicos de diferente complejidad: secuencias, estructuras tridimensionales y videos, demostrando su validez y utilidad en un dominio de aplicaci\u00f3n real.  estas aportaciones permiten abordar problemas de extracci\u00f3n de conocimiento en dominios de aplicaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica muy interesantes y actuales como el an\u00e1lisis de informaci\u00f3n producida en proyectos del tipo \u00abgenoma humano\u00bb y nos abren el camino a nuevas oportunidades de desarrollo en el tratamiento de video.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
