Para ello hemos analizado de forma detallada la estructura superficial de una considerable cantidad de hilos met\u00e1licos finos mediante microscop\u00eda de fuerza at\u00f3mica y microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica de barrido y hemos desarrollado modelos \u00f3pticos para el an\u00e1lisis de la intensidad difundida cuando el hilo es iluminado con un haz en incidencia oblicua basados en la soluci\u00f3n de la integral de kirchhoff y en la teor\u00eda geom\u00e9trica de la difracci\u00f3n. Asimismo, hemos construido un prototipo de laboratorio para la detecci\u00f3n \u00f3ptica de las estructuras superficiales. Tambi\u00e9n hemos desarrollado algoritmos para el an\u00e1lisis cuantitativo de las estructuras superficiales y hemos procesado las im\u00e1genes mediante procedimientos de estad\u00edstica espacial, en particular a partir del \u00abkrigeado\u00bb(ingl. Kriging). Por \u00faltimo hemos realizado simplificaciones para poder utilizar el krigeado en el proceso de im\u00e1genes bidimensionales, as\u00ed como para determinar la incertidumbre
