Por esto se precisa de sistemas m\u00e1s eficientes para el tratamiento del agua residual urbana. Recientemente, las tecnolog\u00edas basadas en biopel\u00edcula y en especial los sistemas de lichos inundados est\u00e1n siendo aplicadas en procesos de depuraci\u00f3n de efluentes de diverso origen debido a sus m\u00faltiples ventajas sobre los procesoso tradicionales de fangos activos, ya que permiten el desarrollo de microorganismos de crecimiento espec\u00edfico bajo (metanog\u00e9nicos, nitrificantes), poseen un elevado rendimiento, no requieren de decantador secundario, son menos susceptibles a cargas variables o intermitentes, modulares y f\u00e1cilmente integrabales en el midioambiente.  este trabajo tiene como principal objetivo el estudio y optimizaci\u00f3n del proceso de lechos inundados para la eliminaci\u00f3n de materia org\u00e1nica y nitrogenada, desarrollando para ello una planta a escala de laboratorio que permita el conocimiento del proceso biol\u00f3gico nitrificaci\u00f3n-desintrificaci\u00f3n y la variaci\u00f3n de m\u00faltiples par\u00e1metros.  los resultados obtenidos trabajando en post-desnitrificaci\u00f3n, con adici\u00f3n de metanol como fuentes de carbno, permiten cumplir conla directiva cee271\/91 en base a materia org\u00e1nica y nitr\u00f3geno para cargas vol\u00famicas de 0,8 kg n\/m3\/dia, eliminando una carga org\u00e1nica de 16 kgdqo\/m3\/d\u00edas. Mientras que aplicando el procesdo de predesnitrificaci\u00f3n (sin adici\u00f3n de carbono externo) los rendimientos son muy inferiores, debido a la baja relaci\u00f3n dqo\/n y la presencia de
