El modo coplanar impar, por ser mas radiante y dispersivo que el par, se ha tendido a eliminar de los circuitos de microondas basados en guia de ondas coplanar, limitando por tanto las posibilidades de dise\u00f1o de circuitos basados en este tipo de guia.  este trabajo de tesis doctoral aborda el modelado multimodal (teniendo en cuenta el modo coplanar par y el impar) de transiciones y asimetrias planares que utilizan la guia de ondas coplanar. El conjunto de transiciones modelado es un conjunto suficiente para analizar des de un punto de vista multimodal la practica totalidad de circuitos planares que hacen uso de la guia de ondas coplanar que s\u00c2\u00bfhan propuesto en la literatura, asi como para expandir las posibilidades de dise\u00f1o de circuitos coplanares utilizando su comportamiento multimodal. Los modelos circuitales deducidos son validados experimentalmente, y aplicados al analisis de circuitos coplanares multimodales que hasta el momento se habian realizado de manera empirica y a la
