La identificaci\u00f3n de los factores de dicha c\u00e9lula hu\u00e9sped que interaccionan con los viroides es necesaria para entender las interacciones y funciones de estos peculiares pat\u00f3genos. Durante esta tesis doctoral, se aislaron y caracterizar\u00f3n prote\u00ednas que interaccionan con rna viroidal, para lo cual se desarroll\u00f3 una nueva t\u00e9cnica denomiada \u00abrna-ligand screening\u00bb. Las prote\u00ednas fueron aisladas de una genoteca de cdna de expresi\u00f3n, generada a partir de mrna extraido de plantas lycopersicum esculentum infectadas con el viroide del tub\u00e9rculo fusiforme de la patata (pstvd) que se rastre\u00f3 con una sonda de rna de dicho viroide:  durante el curso de estos estudios se aislaron dos prote\u00ednas que intraccionan con el viroide pstvd.Estas prote\u00ednas denomiandas virp1 y virp2 tienen un peso molecular de 66 y 50 kda, respectivamente. Mientras que virp1 interacciona \u00fanicamente con rnas viroidales pertenecientes al grupo del pstvd, la prote\u00edna virp-2 es capaza de intraccionar con cualquier tipo de rna, siempre y cuando sea de tipo viroidal.  los an\u00e1lisis comparativos de estas dos secuencias con las bases de datos revel\u00f3  que virp1 no mostraba homolog\u00eda significativa con prote\u00edna alguna conocida,por el contrario virp2 mostraba una homolog\u00eda del 92% a nivel de la secuencia de amino\u00e1cidos con una amonitransferasa.  la prote\u00edna virp1 fue caracterizada en mas detalle que virp2. Por los resultados experimentales obtenidos durante la caracterizaci\u00f3n de virp1 se pudo concluir que esta prote\u00edna es un factor de transcripci\u00f3n.,En esta tesis se discute la posible
