En la primera parte de la tesis se presenta un nuevo modelo de pgpd que es comparado de forma experimental con el modelo clasico de programaci\u00f3n genetica.  pgpd se aplica a problemas de      y a problemas reales (representacion del conocimiento medico y diagnostico automatico) para confirmar la validez de las conclusiones que se obtienen. En la segunda parte de la tesis se desarrolla una metodolog\u00eda para ralizar la ubicaci\u00f3n e interconexiodo de circuitos logicos en fpgas utilizando la programacion genetica. Los resultados obtenidos muestran la validez de la metodolog\u00eda utilizada.
