el estudio de la existencia y estabilidad de curvas puntos criticos de funcionales sobre espacios de curvas inmersas en variedades de riemann, con especial enfasis en los puntos criticos cerrados. a partir de la primera formula de variacion, que calculamos,obtenemos las ecuaciones de euler-lagrange y, restringidos a los espacios modelo, obtenemos sus primeras integrales, las condiciones de cierre y calculamos la segunda formula de variacion sobre los puntos critico cerrados.  tras realizar un estudio en profundidad para funcionales definidos sobre elecciones de p(k) concretas, escogidas tanto por su interes geometrico como por las aplicaciones posteriores, constatamos la relacion existente entre este problema variacional y los problemas variacionales de willmore-chen y el de las vesiculas en s3(1), y conseguimos resultados en torno a estos problemas a partir de resultados del problema original; concretamente, obtenemos ejemplos de tubos de willmore-chen en variedades con metrica warped
