En el trabajo presentado en esta memoria se ha desarrollado un sistema experimental para analizar la colonizacion microbiana de superficies, especialmente a partir de sistemas de distribuci\u00f3n  de agua.  este sistema presenta unas caracter\u00edsticas adecuadas por su facilidad de operaci\u00f3n y bajo mantenimiento, convirti\u00e9ndolo en aplicable tanto en muestreos de campo como de laboratorio. La configuraci\u00f3n en forma de lecho empacado fijo permite la producci\u00f3n de biofilms controlando el gradiente de velocidades, a la vez que se obtiene el m\u00e1ximo de superificie en el m\u00ednimo espacio posible.  inicialmente se realiz\u00f3 la optimziaci\u00f3n del m\u00e9todo experimental, especialmente en lo que se refiere al procesado previo de las muestras del biofilm-lavado y separaci\u00f3n-, al material de soporte y a las condiciones hidrofin\u00e1micas utilizadas de forma rutinaria. Despu\u00e9s de probar diferentes m\u00e9todos de tinci\u00f3n directa de los biofilms, se escogieron las tinciones con naranja de acr\u00eddina y con live\/dead baclilgh, aplicadas a la vez en los recuentos totales de las muestras disgregadas. Se aplic\u00f3 y optimiz\u00f3 la t\u00e9cnica de la crioinclido, tinci\u00f3n con dapi y ctc y criosecci\u00f3n a los biofilms desarrollados en el material de soporte. Tambi\u00e9n se optimiz\u00f3 la microscopia electr\u00f3nica de barrido ambiental esem y la microscop\u00eda confocal. Finalmente, las muestras se observaron con un perfil\u00f3metro confocal.  a continuaci\u00f3n, las t\u00e9cnicas descritas se aplicaron en la evaluaci\u00f3n de la formaci\u00f3n de biofilms a partir de aguas subterr\u00e1neas sin tratar. se realiz\u00f3 un seguimiento del desarrollo de biofilms a partir del agua de drenaje utilizadas para el riego de parques urbanos en sant mart\u00ed (pozo de
