Prieto Garcia <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Nuestro grupo de investigaci\u00f3n viene trabajando desde hace tiempo en el estudio de especies vegetales y principios naturales con actividad antiinflamatoria in vivo. La busqueda de protocolos experimentales in vitro que permitan ahondar en el conocimiento de su actividad fue nuestro principal objetivo a lo largo de periodo en que se desarrollo esta tesis. Las drogas objeto de estudio fueron quince procedentes de la medicina tradicional china(angelica membranaceus bunge, atractylodes macrocephala koidzumi, codonopsis pilosula(franch) nannfeldt, coptis chinensis franch, curcuma aromatica salisb., Forsythia suspensa(thunberg)vahl., Lentinus edodes berk, paeonia lactiflora pallas, phellodendron amurense ruprecht, poria cocos(schw.)Wolf,rehmanni glutinosa(gaaertnet)liboschitz,scutellaria baicalensis georgi) y cinco especies vegetales usadas popularmente en el ambito mediterraneo por su actividad a nivel dermico(haplophyllum hispanicum spach, helichrysum italicum(l) moench, inula viscosa(l.) Aiton, ranunculus sceleratus l.,Scrophularia auriculata l)  los extractos obtenidos a partir de ellas se ensayaron en diversos metodos in vitro de cuantificacion de eicosanoides (ltb4,5-hete,12-hhtre y 12-hete),liberaci\u00f3n y actividad elastasa y sistemas generadores de radicales libres(peroxidaci\u00f3n lipidica enzimatica y no enzimatica y generacion de radical superoxido e hidroxilo).  tras ensayar el efecto de los estractos no citot\u00f3xicos en la producci\u00f3n de eicosanoides se observ\u00f3 que p.Cocos fue el unico en inhibir claramente la producci\u00f3n de todos los metabolitos en estudio. Le sigue en interes a. Membranaceus, cuyo extracto inhibi\u00f3 la actividad 5-lox y cox-1. En ambos casos en la primera vez que se demuestran estas actividades en el extracto total de estas especies. La inhibici\u00f3n conjunta de las vias cox-1 y 12-lox fue conseguida por c.Chinensis, p.Amurense y p.Cocos.
