Jose miguel aza\u00f1on hernandez aborda la evolucion tectonometamorficas del complejo alpujarride, uno de los tres grandes elementos tectonicos que integran el dominio de alboran. A partir del estudio del metamorfismo en diferentes unidades representativas de la pila constitutiva del citado complejo, se pone de manifiesto la distribucion de un registro metamorfico de hp\/bt, del que solo se conocian escasos testimonios hasta la fecha. En funcion de su posicion tectonica y registro metamorfico, se definen varias unidades tipo que caracterizan la organizacion del complejo en su conjunto.  lo mas destacable de la evolucion tectonometamorfica previa al desmembramiento extensional mioceno del complejo alpujarride supone, de acuerdo con los resultados alcanzados en esta tesis, el desarrollo de un orogeno colisional alpujarride contemporaneo del desarrollo del metamorfismo hp\/bt, el posterior adelgazamiento de dicho orogeno hasta la general condensacion de isogradas metamorficas, y una nueva reestructuracion contraccional controlada por el desarrollo de pliegues recumbentes.
