La conversi\u00f3n de estas \u00faltimas en sus correspondientes imino\u00e9teres y condensaci\u00f3n con \u00e1cido antran\u00edlico proporciona una ruta estereocontrolada  derivados de 2-arilalquil-2,4-dihidro-1h-pirazino (2,1-b)quinazolina-3,6-diona. Este sistema tric\u00edclico contiene los anillos def de las ardeeminas, y los derivados con el agrupamiento n-acetil-3-indolilmetilo pueden considerarse seco-an\u00e1logos de aquellas.  la oxidaci\u00f3n de la posici\u00f3n c-1 de estos derivados con reactivos de iodo hipervalente conduce a precursores de cationes de aciliminio, que se estudian como sintones para la s\u00edntesis de sistemas polic\u00f3clicos a trav\u00e9s de reacciones de alquilaci\u00f3n arom\u00e1tica en orto del sustituyente arilalquilo.  cuando este sustituyentes contiene un arilo rico en electrones y la cadena alqu\u00edlica permite la formaci\u00f3n de un ciclo de seis miembros, se produce la ciclaci\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea. En los dem\u00e1s casos, las especies de aciliminio originan etoxiderivados con la participaci\u00f3n del disolvente, los cuales pueden ciclar en medio \u00e1cido salvo cuando conducir\u00edan a ciclos de cinco miembros. se estudia la estereoselectividad de todas las reacciones, as\u00ed como las actividades reversora de mdr y  bloqueante de canales de calcio de algunos compuestos
