Jes\u00fas <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El objetivo principal de este trabajo consiste en el seguimiento a escala de laboratorio de las transformaciones f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicas que se producen en el carb\u00f3n durante el proceso de combusti\u00f3n. Se ha prestado atenci\u00f3n especial a la heterogeneidad original del carb\u00f3n y a las carcter\u00edsticas del char (residuo s\u00f3lido rico en carbono procedente de la etapa de pir\u00f3lisis). se han estudiado las transformaciones sufridas pro treinta carbones seleccionados, de distintas procedencias y carcter\u00edsticas durante su pir\u00f3lisis y su combusti\u00f3n, para evaluar la influencia del grado de evoluci\u00f3n y la composici\u00f3n maceral sobre la estructura del char y el efecto de la misma sobre la eficacia de combusti\u00f3n. La caracterizaci\u00f3n de los carbones se realiz\u00f3 mediante t\u00e9cnicas anal\u00edticas convencionales, espectroscopia irtf y microscop\u00eda \u00f3ptica de luz reflejada. Los chars se obtuvieron a 1000 ay 1300\u00c2\u00bac en condiciones que simulan las existentes en una caldera industrial (temperaturas elevadas, en el intervalo de 1300-1700\u00c2\u00bac y tiempos de residencia del orden de segundos). la textura \u00f3ptica y morfolog\u00eda de los chars se estudi\u00f3 mediante t\u00e9cnicas petrogr\u00e1ficas y su reactividad qu\u00edmica se determin\u00f3 en termobalanza a diferentes temperaturas.  el estudio profundo del proceso de desvolatilizaci\u00f3n ha permitido ahondar en el comportamiento de un determinado carb\u00f3n durante este proceso y a la vez sistematizar la contribuci\u00f3n de los distintos macerales. El an\u00e1lisis detallado de los perfiles de pir\u00f3lisis y de combusti\u00f3n ha demostrado las diferentes transformaciones sufridas por el carb\u00f3n durante el tratamiento t\u00e9rmico programado en atm\u00f3sfera oxidante y reductora, y la necesidad de interpretar con cautela los perfiles de combusi\u00f3n  a la hora de interpretar la diferente combustibilidad de los carbones.
