Este tipo de aguas residuales se caracteriza por un alto poder contaminante (elevado contenido org\u00e1nico y presencia de sustancias biorefractarias).  en primer lugar se ha analizado la oxidaci\u00f3n aerobia de las aguas residuales objeto de estudio por medio del sistema de lodos activos. A continuaci\u00f3n y debido al gran contenido en sustancias fen\u00f3licas inhibidoras de la acci\u00f3n microbiana se eligieron una serie de procesos de oxidaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica destinados a la reducci\u00f3n de estos compuestos con objeto de aumentar la biodegradabilidad final del agua tratada.  en la mayor\u00eda de casos, tras la oxidaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica, el agua residual tratada fue sometida a un posterior proceso de degradaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica para comprobar el efecto del pre-tratamiento qu\u00edmico. De esta forma se estudiaron los siguientes sistemas:  1,- ozonaci\u00f3n simple y secuencial (reducci\u00f3n de la carga contaminante mediante oxidaci\u00f3n con ozono cono sin variaci\u00f3n artificial de ph.  2,- oxidaci\u00f3n h\u00fameda subcr\u00edtica (procesos de eliminaci\u00f3n de contaminantes desarrollados en fase l\u00edquida a elevadas presiones y temperaturas en presencia de ox\u00edgeno.  3,- oxidaci\u00f3n h\u00fameda supercr\u00edtica (oxidaci\u00f3n similar al anteriormente descrito aunque en condiciones de operaci\u00f3n por encima del punto cr\u00edtico del agua.  4,- reactivo fenton (oxidaci\u00f3n mediante la descomposici\u00f3n del per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno catalizada por una sal ferroso\/f\u00e9rrica).  en general, los efluentes tratados con los anteriores sitemas de oxidaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica presentaron unas mejores propiedades de biodegradabilidad, sin embargo, en algunos casos, dada la gran eficacia de mineralizaci\u00f3nobtenida se
