La informaci\u00f3n respecto a los estudiantes se agrupan de acuerdo a su nivel socio-economico (estrato rural y estrato urbano). Se toman tres grupos de datos correspondientes a los cursos 1996-1997(3285 alumnos), 1997-1998(803 estudiantes) y 1998-1999(1001 alumnos). Se realizan analisis de regresion estadistica y se elaboran al final un total de nueve modelos de acuerdo a la muestra total de cada curso y a los dos estratos. asimismo se hizo un analisis descriptivo en el que se comparan las muestras de los tres cursos de acuerdo a las caracteristicas mas importantes de los estudiantes, los docentes y los centros escolares.  se concluye que las variables de los estudiantes, padres, docentes, directores y escuelas, tomadas para el estudio si influyen en el rendimiento, ya que de acuerdo al analisis de regresion, se observa que las varianzas que explican el rendimiento son mayores en los estratos por separado que cuando se toman las muestras totales. En el estrato urbano del curso 1996-1997 y del 1998-1999 es mayor la influencia de las variables tomada al inicio de la investigacion, no asi en el caso del curso 1997-1998 en el que existe una mayor relacion entre las variables independientes con la dependiente, en el estrato rural. resulto una similitud minima entre las variables que integran los modelos de estos tres
