El estudio se ha realizado durante el desarrollo y en el animal adulto, utilizando t\u00e9cnicas convencionales de microscopia \u00f3ptica y microscopia electr\u00f3nica, as\u00ed como tecnicas de inmunohistoqu\u00edmica, empleando anticuerpos monoclonales, para el reconocimiento de los distintos tipos de c\u00e9lulas.  los resultados de nuestros estudios, demuestran que la capa de c\u00e9lulas ganglionares est\u00e1 formada por las neuronas ganglionares, neuronas amacrinas desplazadas y c\u00e9lulas de naturaleza glial. Los procesos de migraci\u00f3n y diferenciaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas amacrinas desplazadas parecen estar inducidos por las c\u00e9lulas ganglionares.  a partir de e-9, la retina del pollo muestra un patr\u00f3n de migraci\u00f3n celular a trav\u00e9s de la superficie interna de la capa de fibras del nervio \u00f3ptico, cuyo destino son las capas m\u00e1s internas de la retina. El origen de estas poblaciones celulares son dos: el nervio \u00f3ptico y el pecten. Las caracter\u00edsticas morfol\u00f3gicas y los marcadores inmunol\u00f3gicos sugieren que un peque\u00f1o tanto por ciento de las c\u00e9lulas con de naturaleza neuroglial(oligodentrocitos)cuya localizaci\u00f3n se circuncribe a las zonas peripapilares. El resto de las celulas, las de origen vascular, penetran por la c f n o hasta las zonas mas perifericas de la retina y presumiblemente tienen una funcion microgial y fagocitica.  todos estos datos son analizados y discutidos para extraer conclusiones y proyectar en el futuro, experimentos que nos permitan conocer m\u00e1s y mejor las caracteristicas estructurales y funcionales de las retinas
