Para conseguir el objetivo se aplicaron diversos m\u00e9todos de reconocimiento de patrones a tres perfiles de descriptores qu\u00edmicos: aceites de fusel, metales y cong\u00e9neres de voltilidad intermedia. El perfil vol\u00e1til (aceites de fusel) se determin\u00f3 por cromatograf\u00eda de gases-espectros-cop\u00eda de masa empleando la t\u00e9cnica del espacio de cabeza est\u00e1tico. El perfil met\u00e1lico se estableci\u00f3 mediante espectroscopia de abosrci\u00f3n at\u00f3mica y el de los cong\u00e9neres de volatilidad intermedia mediante cromatograf\u00eda gaseosa espectromet\u00eda de masas por inyecci\u00f3n directa despu\u00e9s de una extracci\u00f3n con diclorometano.  los m\u00e9todos de reconocimiento de patrones utilizados fueron m\u00e9todos no supervisados de visualizaci\u00f3n como el an\u00e1lisis de componentes principales y analisis cluster, y m\u00e9todos supervisados incluyendo an\u00e1lisis de componentes pricnipales y an\u00e1lisis cluster, y m\u00e9todos supervisados incluyendo an\u00e1lisis discrimiannte lineal con modelado de clases, an\u00e1lisis dicriminante procr\u00fasteo, m\u00e9todo de los k vecinos m\u00e1s pr\u00f3ximos y algoritmos basados en redes neuronales artificiales (perceptroens multicapa).  con la excepci\u00f3n de los whiskeys irlandeses de la destiler\u00eda old bushmill, el perfil de aceites de fusel, espec\u00edficamente los contenidos de 2-metil-propanol y 3-metil-1-butanol, conduce a una perfecta autenticaci\u00f3n.  los descriptores met\u00e1licos no conducen a una discriminaci\u00f3n adecuada de las muestras de whiskey irland\u00e9s aunque s\u00ed lo hacen con las muestras de bourbon.
