La deleci\u00f3n del gen hace que las c\u00e9lulas se dividan sin que previamente hayan realizado una fase s, resultando en un fenotipo letal conocido como catastrofe mitotica por esas razones hemo analizado si cdc6 forma parte de un mecanismo de comprobaci\u00f3nd e inicio de fase s, construyendo dos tipos de muantes. Tras este analisis, no podemos afirmar que exista un control de comprobaci\u00f3n de inicio de fase s, aunque nuestros datos indican que la funci\u00f3n de inhibici\u00f3n de la mitosis estaria ejercida por los primeros 47 amino\u00e1cidos de la prote\u00edna.  la replicaci\u00f3n del dna se inicia en or\u00edgenes de replicaci\u00f3n que se activan por un patr\u00f3n predecible: algunos se activan pronto en el ciclo (origenes tempranos) y otros m\u00e1s tarde (or\u00edgenes tard\u00edos). La hidroxiurea bloquea la progresi\u00f3n de la horquilla de replicaci\u00f3n de los or\u00edgenes tempranos, inhibiendo la activaci\u00f3n de los origenes tardios mediante un mecanismos de comprobaci\u00f3n, intrinceso a fase s, mediando por las quinasas mec1 y rad 53. Nosotros mostramos que, probablemente, cdc6 no este implicado en este mecanismo de comprobaci\u00f3n.  finalmente, la salida de mitosis requiere la inactivaci\u00f3n de la quinasa cdc28\/clb a traves de un mecanismo regulado incialmente por cdc20 y posteriormente por cdc14, que desfosforila a sic1 y htc1. Nuestros datos sugieren que cdc6, adem\u00e1s de ser un componente clave y conservado a lo largo de la evoluci\u00f3n necesario para la formaci\u00f3n de los complejos pre-replicativos, coopera con
