Actualmente las energias renovables representan el 4% de la demanda primaria de energia de la ue y el objetivo es para el 2005 es pasar al 8%. La declaracion de Madrid de marzo de 1994 anuncia para el 2010 un objetivo del 12% de energias renovables en la demanda de energia primaria europea. Un aspecto importante en los dispositivos destinados al aprovechamiento de energia, que le diferencian que los otros sistemas basados en fuentes de energias convencionales, es que su alimentacion esta sometida al trasiego de flutuaciones atmosfericas y meteorologicas para el aporte energetico, que a su vez es independiente de la demanda exigible en cada instante. Por ello es necesario conocer la cantidad y la variabilidad de energia disponible. El presente trabajo pretende contribuir al conocimiento de la irradiacion solar desde la optica del estudio de la distribucion territorial, su estimacion y su relacion con la temperatura maxima y la insolacion a la vez que se evalua la calidad de los datos tanto de irradiacion solar global diaria como de insolacion. Para ello tras un analisis de los diversos modelos propuestos para el analisis de los denominados dias claros se ajusta un procedimiento especifico que permite conocer la calidad de los datos basados en el modelo dia claro de la cec, para luego estudiar las relaciones dinamicas que existen entre la insolacion, la temperatura maxima diaria y la irradiacion solar global horizontal diaria a traves de
